“Start from the empty body”
In this workshop, I introduce the philosophy and background of Butoh by using our body together. It focuses on your inside and explores the connection between your body and mind.

■Emiko Agatsuma■
Emiko Agatsuma is a Butoh dancer, choreographer and director in Japan. She is also a skilled Butoh instructor for more than 15 years.
She got an award from Japan Dance Critics Association as the Best Young Artist in 2015, in addition she was invited from the 39th annual Battery Dance Festival in New York City, USA as an artist who is a represent of Japan in 2020.
She has been producing innovative Butoh performances based on her Butoh method and esthetics. It is recognized internationally.
