▶ What is Otera-Odori-Ocha?
We are a performing arts group consisting of Butoh dancers, a Japanese tea ceremony master, and monks that were established in 2016. In 2019, the group will launch a full-scale "Otera Odori Ocha" session at Vanryu-ji Temple in Meguro. We will offer the most advanced and enjoyable tea ceremony party by overturning stereotypes while carrying the traditional Japanese culture.

▶ What is Butoh?
Butoh was born in Japan in the 1960s. As the reaction against the imported modern dance, Butoh dancers focused on their body and mind based on Japanese rural culture. This attitude established a unique body philosophy and Butoh keeps attracting artists all over the world.
